Potty Training Attempt 2

We've been working on potty training again. Last time (about a month or so ago) went ok for a day and then Jacob was having extreme mood swings and wouldn't eat... needless to say it wasn't the time. So I tried again on Thursday. He did great, only had a couple accidents. Friday he did pretty great too... a couple more accidents. Saturday we went to the zoo, so he had a diaper all day. But, when we got home he was standing in the middle of the living room staring at his crotch saying uh-oh... so, he knew he was peeing, but had a diaper on. Clever boy! Sunday, diaper again for church and then underwear afterwards. Monday (I know you're so excited to hear about day by day of his potty training experience) he had 1 accident, but I could tell the difference with him, he was starting to really be able to tell when he needed to go. Oh, and during this whole time, he's pooped once, and not on the toilet yet. Which makes me very nervous... that he's going to have a horrible time when he finally does poop.
TODAY, we have had ZERO accidents, Jacob even took a nap today with underwear on, and no accident. He does this little dance now when he needs to go... it's so dang cute. When I was in the kitchen earlier today he yelled that he needed to go potty! I made up a chart this morning so that when he does go on the potty he can put a sticker on the chart (which has worked wonders for him brushing his teeth too, that's why I started the potty chart). Nothing really worked for Jacob. I tried lots of different ideas that people told me... but every kid has their "thing", I tried candy- didn't work for him... which totally surprises me, because he loves candy.... and then.... I bought a bag of balloons at the dollar store, and YAY it worked! So, we have a ton of blown up balloons all over the living room floor, but no pee on the floor! Here's to another accident free tomorrow!
