Jacob 2 and 10 months, Ian 8 Months

Beware... this could get a bit sappy...

Jacob is our little ball of fun! He is getting such an imagination and I'm loving this stage of his life.

He loves to play catch. Sometimes I'll be in the kitchen cleaning or cooking and he'll run in and yell, "Catch!!" then throw a ball at me. We could play for hours just throwing the ball back and forth.

He loves to cuddle with dad on the couch and watch basketball.

Jacob loves books. Loves reading and listening to stories and pretending to read them as well.

Jacob also completely loves anything to do with numbers, letters, shapes, or colors. He has had all of these memorized since he first turned 2. It's so fun going to town with him because every sign, store name, or anything with letters, he spells it out, tells me the shape, and the color. He has had a huge interest for this stuff and it makes me laugh when he yells out, "Stop sign!! Octagon!" (He used to call every octagon he saw a "stop sign").

He loves trains so much! Our neighbor gave us a Thomas train track set when they were cleaning out their toys and Jacob has not let it out of his sight since.

Jacob also loves nursery. Throughout the entire sacrament meeting Jacob is begging to go to nursery. I've snuck my head in there to see how he does and he pushes the stroller around with all the babies in it the entire time... it's a good thing there is only one girl in there to share babies with.

Jacob loves pretending to be mom and helps with Ian so much. Yesterday Jacob saw Ian put a piece of lint and hair in his mouth and quickly grabbed it out saying, "No Ian! Don't eat hair!"

Jacob is talking all the time, telling me things, things about his favorite shows, or about Sugar (yes our cat... he still talks about her) or about his favorite books. We just started a little preschool with just him and me and he traced out his whole name several times with a marker and I almost cried. I was so excited yet a huge part of me wanted to curl up and cry... because my Jacob is growing up. He's growing up to be such a caring boy that loves to play but isn't too curious... he's very precarious and watches out for his little brother on a daily basis.

Ian has soared through many milestones, and even though he was a whole month early, no one would ever know.

Ian is over 18 pounds now and 29 inches long.

Wearing sizes 9-12 months.

He's crawling all over the place, and has just recently gone from his hands and knees to turning to his bottom.

He loves to eat solid food. I haven't made any baby food he hasn't loved, and now whenever he eats in between each bite I get a round of applause!

He also has two bottom teeth that have recently pushed out.

Ian is such a happy boy and loves seeing new faces.

Whenever Ian sits down on his bottom he crosses his ankles.

He makes a roar sound whenever you hold him standing on your lap.

Whenever I pick him up he's like a clinging monkey to my body.

Always has a huge grin for me when I get him in the morning.

Loves to tease his brother... and laugh.

Loves Jacob more than anyone in this house.

Loves to cuddle.

All in all both of these boys have similarities, but can be so different! I love it all and wish they could stay little and perfect like this forever.
