Fire Station Play Date!

This morning Jacob and I joined the play group for our ward and headed over to the fire station. Right when we walked in... Jacob looked up... and there was a basketball hoop. I thought to myself, "Oh. My. Goodness. Of all places." Just like I thought, Jacob couldn't pay attention to anything else, but that hoop. He kept saying, "Ball? Ball? Ball?" So loud... that everyone was staring at him. Then we moved around, so Jacob was jumping and running in circles by the basketball hoop while the other kids were watching the fireman put on his suit.
Once the firemen let us roam around inside the truck and the ambulance, Jacob was having a blast. He LOVED going in the firetruck and sitting on the seats. Most of the other kids were a little scared to walk in, but not Jacob... which surprised me, because usually in weird places like this he gets really shy and becomes a leach to my body. Afterwards, we went to Costco and had a hot dog, mmmmm. Jacob and I shared one and a drink and took the other to Jon at work. Can't beat a $3 lunch for three people, including drinks!
