Easter Egg Decorating AND My New Favorite Thing!

Jacob and I finally decorated eggs last night! He LOVED it. It was a lot of fun, until we were out of eggs... and Jacob wasn't done dipping them in the dye. He held this one egg for so long, until he tried to climb up on the chair and used the egg for help and smashed it. Now... today, I get to make deviled eggs. AH! I've been craving these for over a week and am finally going to get around to making some.
A few weeks ago an awesome lady in my ward showed me how to crochet, and I've been putting it off for so long until this morning Jacob wanted to watch Finding Nemo, so I sat with him for a bit and busted this awesome piece of work out. Not bad for my 4th try. I kept giving up because I couldn't get the feel of it and was making my loops too tight. I think I'm ready for something bigger. This didn't take long at all, but now I'm in the groove so I'm ready to make something else. Now, onto cleaning the house, I feel like I've been sitting too long. I'll work on more crocheting on our trip to Washington on Friday.

It took me many tries to get the crocheting just right and to comprehend all the different stitches etc etc. But it looks good-can't wait to see what you make! I'm working on a afgan blanket now.

I have been spending so much time on Etsy that my mom agreed to teach me how to crochet this weekend. I've done it once or twice before, and made a scarf - but I don't remember squat. lol.

Jacob looks so grown up - I still remember his itty bitty-ness and just a sweet little newborn. They sure grow up fast.

Good work on the crochet! I think my grandma has taught me how at least 8 times over the last 20 years . . . wait to work it!
