Easter Weekend With Grandma and Grandpa

Wow! This weekend went way too fast. My mom and dad came Friday night to stay with us for the Easter/Conference weekend. Right when they came in the door, Jacob reached up for my mom and sat with her for several minutes cuddling on the couch.

The weekend was full of fun! On Saturday we went to lunch at Sizzler, (which was awesome, Jacob ate tons of different food and an ice cream cone by himself) then we went to Sportsman's Warehouse. While the boys were getting the truck, my mom and I went into an awesome quilting store and looked at so many beautiful quilts, so much talent! Then, Jon drove us to Hungry Horse Dam, my dad hasn't been there since he was about 5, so it was fun for him to see it again after so many years! We then headed home where we started making my mom's famous whole wheat rolls that taste amazing! I finally wrote down the recipe so I can make my own. Jacob loves these and will eat three in one day. They are so filling and moist. In the middle of that we forgot that we wanted to go to Costco and use our coupons because Saturday was the last day. While we were at Costco, my dad and Jon went to Priesthood session together.

One of my mom and dad's favorite shows is Pawn Stars. Jon and I love it too! There are SO MANY pawn shops here, I've been wanting to go to one since we've moved here and finally my mom said that she wanted to go! So, we went, and it was fun! We just went to one that was by our place and Jacob really loved the bikes, because they were tipped over and he just spun the wheels over and over again. Then, we went to Wal-Mart and got some stuff for sewing, came home and worked on the rolls again.

Sunday morning, my mom woke up early and Jacob came out to sit with her and sat on her lap and fell asleep for over an hour. He loves to cuddle with them and feels so comfortable around them. After she put Jacob down, he went outside and LOADED the yard with Easter eggs full of Jacob's favorite candy, M & M's.

We are so sad to see them leave! We had to put Finding Nemo on so that they could leave without Jacob throwing a fit. We had to prepare, because even when my mom would go to the bathroom and shut the door, Jacob would whine and cry. Thanks for coming and thanks so much for spoiling all of us!!
