Trips up the wazoo!

Wow, I feel like we've been on a permanent trip!!! Jacob and I got home from Utah, and then a couple of days later found out that my grandpa wasn't doing very well and had a couple of days to live. We were about to head out the door, but because we had gotten sick while in Utah, no one wanted us to visit with our new germy friends. So, this past Thursday all three of us jumped in the car and drove to Washington. We were able to stay with David and Cindy and party hardy before and after the funeral. It was a sobering experience as most funerals are.

We're very happy that grandpa was able to join his sweetheart and other family members. Lots of people came to the viewing and grave sight. Friends and family were present and it was nice to see everyone again. Jacob had a blast playing with his cousins. I was so glad they came, because before they were there, Jacob was SO GRUMPY. Once they walked down the hall his entire attitude changed and he was the happy laughing boy we all know.Me and Cameron. Jacob and his Great, Great Uncle Dick, high fiving it all the way.Dad and I waiting to walk to the grave sight. The boys! I was so bummed that this picture turned out funky. But, my mom got one too, so I'm going to have to get one from her.Saturday morning we jumped in the car again and drove to Moses Lake where my brothers and their families were and we really started the party. We did our usual homemade blizzard and movie night, but we watched the Olympics instead. Since Traci was at the Olympics, we did a little surprise photo shoot of adorable naked Carter. I love how this one turned out! He was such a smiley kid the whole trip. I think he was just really happy to see me.What's a trip to ML without going to Grandpa Duvall's farm? Not a trip. So we had to head out. Jacob and I were walking around found this HUGE leaf!! And, because the picture is so awesome... it's because Jon surprised me with an awesome Nikon digital camera for Valentine's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried, then scolded him for getting me such an expensive gift. But, we just found out we don't owe anything for taxes now, and we're getting some instead woo hoo!!!!!! So, now I don't feel like I have to go return it today.Does he not totally look like Jon in this picture?? He's growing up to really look like his dad now. So adorable! Jacob and Great Grandma Duvall

Congrats on your new camera!!

I use photoshop to do all my editing. There is an action that I downloaded. However there are a lot of free programs that you can look into. Just google it.

Good/Bad news about your Grandpa. I'm glad you got to see the fam though. Jacob IS looking more grown up. And what Nikon did your loving hubby get ya? Sorry, kind of a fragmented comment. :)

I love your photos Amy! You have always been a great photographer. You have an eye for artistic opportunities. I know that I love life with Kim but that day I get to be with Paul again will be a reunion that I want my children to know is when my heart will finally stop achieving for the loss of my eternal companion. Yes, I do believe in happily ever after!

Congrats on your new camera, too! We were just talking about cameras when you were out here! I am so happy for you! :)
