On Friday night Jon took us to a little ranch about 10 miles out of town that had two zebras and a camel! Isn't that amazing?? I didn't believe Jon at first, so I made him take us. I've never EVER seen a camel or a zebra ever! Especially this close. We were really lucky because they had just fed them so they were right by the fence. Except the camel... it was farther away, and it was too dark so my picture didn't turn out. Bummer, now I'm determined to get one though, so that will be posted later.
Saturday, we went on a little hike at one of the state parks about 5 miles from our place. It had a bunch of little trails and a visitors center with a stuffed bear and some fun interactive things for the kids/adults. Jon taught Jacob how to carry a hiking stick and we still have it... because Jacob loves it so much. It was adorable how he kept trying to hike with it.
I got Jacob this winter coat at a garage sale for three bucks this summer! He loves it. I know it.
