I used to listen to 97 rock every morning on my way to school, James Baker drove me to school with Anne. Wow, great memories. Anyway, Thursdays were my favorite day because of that. So that's how I'm starting off with this post. Today was a good day! I finished my name frame (nice huh?) that I've been working on for too long because I couldn't figure out what to put on it (besides our name) and then I kept changing my mind. I finally finished, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I'm not really liking the blue, but oh well. I can make another one if I end up having NOTHING else to do I guess. Thanks to Jon for getting me the cricut software for my birthday this year (I'm finally getting it to work on our computer!), which I totally and completely am in love with, I embellished with some birds and branches. I mod podged the duvall letters on, but they crinkled and so I just Elmer's glued everything else, besides the ribbon I used hot glue.

I'm feeling quite homemaker-ish I guess, because Jon wanted me to make something for his meeting that he is having tomorrow and I jumped on it and made these dazzling darlings. Yummy brown sugar sweet muffins. They were quite good, and Jon kept saying, "Now... they have to be good, because I'm taking them to my meeting." Sheesh... have a little faith! They turned out fabulous. I am posting the recipe on Cooks R Us
http://www.yummygoodnessrecipes.blogspot.com/ It is from my better homes and gardens cookbook. Which by the way Lorraine Baker gave to me for my graduation present, wow, this post is beginning to be ode to the Baker fam!

If you know Jacob.. at all, you know he is OBSESSED with gravel and rocks. Seriously... he used to eat gravel every chance he got. No joke. Then, he quit eating and stuck with sucking rocks. A lot. Now, thankfully, he plays in it and likes to throw it at animals (we're working on it), but sometimes I do catch him sneaking one in his mouth every now and then. Here he is laying in the gravel. Loving it to no end. And even better, he found a stick. Next time we'll bust out the cars. Man, I love having a boy!

Last, Jacob loves our neighbors. They have a dog... common, how can I compete with that! Not only do they have a dog, but they give Jacob tons of attention and high fives. We were all outside, and Phil was setting up the ladder to get on the roof and Jacob was trying to follow him throughout the day. Then he couldn't get up the ladder. He was a bit upset. Not only do our neighbors let us bug them all the time... but they experiment with cookie recipes... and then bring some to us. YUM. Jacob especially loves to see how much cookie he can shove in his mouth at once. And then, see how many body parts can be smeared in chocolate before I put him in the bathtub.

1. If I send you some magnets, will you make me a cute dirty/clean magnet for my dishwasher?
2. I am going to mail Jacob a big rock on his birthday so that I can officially be his favoritest auntie. I'll clean it well so he can suck on it.
3. Next time Jon decides to move for a job, please move next door to me. I miss you!
Oh, Amy! I love that kid!!! :)
You crafty woman! I love your family frame. That's so great that you have good neighbors. The picture of Jacob on the ladder reminded me of A Christmas Story when the kid gets his tongue stuck to the pole. Haha. Good times.
Hirz family, established 2007....in case you have any extra time on your hands. :) Haha
Love all the pictures of Jacob, he is adorable!
