Portland To Coast Walk Relay

This year (August 23-24th) I had the AWESOME opportunity to do a relay race. I joined onto the Firewalker's Portland to Coast team. This is only half of our group. We had 12 women all together. We started in Portland and walked as a relay group all the way to Seaside, Oregon. I laughed so hard... way too many times, had hardly any sleep, saw lots of motivating people, and was a part of an amazing team.

Yup... that's a volcano on top of the van!

The three crazy ladies. Seriously... we laughed and laughed and laughed some more.

Yeah... we had to wear this beautiful gear. I was the first to walk from our van and since it was getting close to 7PM, the rules stated we had to wear the light and a reflector vest. I think I sported them pretty darn well.

Getting ready to take the bracelet to start my first leg of the race.

I was happy to hand it off! I went about 7 miles of hills for my first leg! My second leg was only 4 and didn't have hardly any hills at all. My hip flexers sure felt this for a couple days!

The after party at Seaside!
