Jacob's First Day of Kindergarten

I couldn't believe this day had already come. The night before Jacob started school, I bawled like a baby to Jon. No matter how ready Jacob was for school... I wasn't ready! Jacob has been more than excited about going to school since last fall. He wanted to ride the bus with all the neighborhood kids. I took Jacob to school on the first day to meet his teacher at Woodburn Elementary. She seemed so incredibly nice and sweet! Jacob instantly fell in love with her. I was so glad. After walking with him to his classroom, I had to practically run out of the building because I couldn't hold back my tears. When I got home, Ian was as happy as a clam! He has been loving all the attention and one on one time. The first day seemed to go by so slow! I couldn't wait to hear how Jacob liked his first day at school. When he got off the bus he was all smiles and ran directly to Ian to give him a hug! He missed his brother. It was so sweet to see the love they have for one another.

I was taking so many pictures... I couldn't help myself! Finally when I asked him to stand next to his teacher for a picture... this happened. At first I thought that maybe he was getting anxious/nervous about school. So after I took the picture, I pulled him aside to ask him what the problem was and he said, "Mom! Can you PLEASE stop taking my picture!" Wow... my role as an embarrassing mom has been achieved.
