Snow and Updates

Jacob is growing like my fingernails when I was pregnant. SUPER FAST. Just in this past month, he has said his first word, besides the one's he's said for many many months (all gone, mama, dada, no, oh no, gamma) he said, "Apple". We were working on the letter "A" and after reading the book called, "The Apple Pie That Papa Baked" (totally recommend this cute book) at least three times a day for a week, Jacob one day said, "apple". It was awesome.

Jacob has also graduated into nursery, and as expected, loves every minute. When Jon went to pick him up he cried and cried, until I showed up, and even then he wouldn't let me put him down. Even to put him in the car seat. We'll see how the next week goes now that he knows we leave.

Jacob's favorite things are balls and K'nex. oh... how I hate K'nex. He doesn't put them together, just loves to pull them out and throw them around the house. He has a mean throwing arm, and can throw a ball across the room. I went to a thrift store today and found a huge bag of those balls that go in those play pens, like they used to have at McDonald's, and are all currently covering the living room floor. We also found a decent soccer ball, which he picked out and loves to throw (very hard and far) it back and forth.
Jacob LOVES his snow suit. A member in our ward in ML gave me two snow suits, and I'll be eternally grateful. We can stay outside a lot longer, and that makes us both happy. We hate being stuck inside all day.

Not only do I hate driving in the snow... I hate shoveling the driveway. BUT, I do love to be outside with Jacob, so it helped us bond. And, I didn't have to go on the treadmill today, because I felt justified when I got back in the house and my back, arms, and legs ached. While I shoveled, Jacob played in the big piles. He loved jumping and crawling through the piles.

Too cute!! I can't believe he's in Nursery already.

My mom and I were talking this morning about how big Karlee was getting, and reading this about Jacob, made me realize how big they all are getting. I mean, Karlee is going to be THREE in June! THREE?! Seriously?! My baby?! Three?! I just can't believe it!

I feel the same way about shoveling. But it's nice that the kids are big enough now that they can play in the snow while I shovel. What's funny is that every time after I shovel, I ask Mark the next day why I'm so sore 'cause for some reason, I just can't remember!

Miss you! Give Jacob a hug from all of us here in Utah! We miss you guys!

I love his little snowsuit. That's so great that you guys are out hangin' in the snow. I sort of wish we had more snow to play in around here. But I don't want to drive in any of it.
