WOW! Be prepared... because this is a long one. So much has happened!! I'll break it up for ya, because there are a bunch of pictures with this post.
Jacob recently found a new best friend... aka the laundry basket. He carries it everywhere, sits in it to watch his show, and talks to it... yes, talks to it.
For Thanksgiving, we were lucky enough to get a visit from Jon's family! AND, we deep fried our turkey this year. YUM. I was so scared at first, I read the pamphlet about three times. No joke. I was so paranoid we were going to burn the place down. We did talk to our landlord about it, who is apparently a pro at this stuff and he gave us a lot of much needed pointers and told us where to fry the turkey at etc.
Here, Jon and his dad are about to put the turkey in! We were nervous.
But, I think our precautious attitudes payed out, because nothing was harmed and this was the best turkey I've ever had. I put a yummy rub underneath the skin and outside the skin, and the flavor was amazing. I got the rub recipe from The Neely's on Food Network.
Of course, Jacob had to sit in grandpa's lap and make him read many books.
AND to top off the awesome weekend, WE MADE CANDY TRAINS!! A tradition in my family and we've carried it onto ours. We try to do it every year after Thanksgiving and on Christmas Eve, or one or the other. It is so fun! Jacob helped a lot this year, I was amazed. He ripped apart all the pieces for my train tracks!
Finished product. My snow is made with powdered sugar. Yum! And I have a nice marshmallow wall for invaders.
Last but not least, my marshmallow fort with a Mr. Goodbar (one of my personal favorites) flag, waving for all the little candy people to see.
On the last day Jon's family was here, we went to this AMAZING pizza place. Seriously, anyone that visits, this is where we are going. Gourmet, old fashioned, stone cooked pizza. Mmmmm. I ate so much, it was awesome. They originate here in Montana and are only in Montana, with the exception of one in Cour D' Lane. And... of course... Jacob had to do some kissing. This bear was right in the entrance and Jacob instantly fell in love...
Jacob and me at the restaurant, waiting for the pizza!

My mom sent Jacob this lovely door decoration and everytime Jacob comes into the room he runs to him and pats his tummy. Whenever I ask him, "Where's Santa?" He runs right over to him! He knows where the goods are.
