My mom and dad came for Thanksgiving weekend this year! We had so much fun that when they went home- it felt like something was missing when we came home from church without them. I cried all day. The boys kept asking when they were coming back. It was a sad day... but thankfully we get to see them soon for Christmas. My mom started off the weekend by bringing a huge box of Twinkies, Hostess Cupcakes, and Ding Dongs. The boys loved it! This would be their only chance to try an American legend... the Twinkie. Sadly, they didn't really like them! But, they loved the cupcakes. On Thanksgiving morning we got our running gear on and headed to the Run For Hunger 5K in Washougal. We beat our time this year by about 3 minutes!
A couple days after Thanksgiving we headed to the tree lot across the street from our house. Jon carried it home again this year.
Jacob got to shake the tree again this year!
We love you grandma and grandpa (mom and dad!) and we miss you more than you can imagine! It meant the world to me that you came and stayed so long. Can't wait to see you for Christmas.
