My First 10K- Winter Wonderland

December 1st: I've been off and on training for this 10K for a little over a month and I'm so glad I did! I ran my first 10K ever! It was so great! My friends and I signed up and decided we were going to do it. I was so anxious the day before and the day of. I was watching everything I ate and stretching like crazy. I ran the 6 mile course in 1:13! It was great! During the last lap, I ran backwards to find my friend that was still out with me and we ran the last lap together. Doing these races means way more than making a time- it's so fun to do them together with friends and have someone to keep you company. I loved this race, it was at the Portland International Raceway- which is where the Color Run was as well, but this one was just around the track. It was flat, and paved the whole way, but along the entire track was a ton of Christmas Lights! Dragons, volcanoes, The 12 Days of Christmas, a nativity, Christmas trees, Nutcrackers, and so many more! It was amazing!

BEFORE the race! Megan, Michelle, Me, and Carol

During the party before the race, there was a fun snow blower and a chance to sit on Santa's lap!

Snow! Well... more like soap :)

Santa!!!
A Nativity

I finished! I was so excited! At the end, I totally sprinted as hard as I could to pass a guy with a Santa hat on.. then I went to high five him, and I almost puked, thankfully Megan handed me a Muscle Milk that they were handing out and it calmed my stomach right down! All the nerves and stress was bottled up.

AFTER! Don't we look amazing?! Love these ladies! It rained and rained the entire race, which we were kind of expecting, but it was still great!
