8 Year Anniversary and Trip To Moses Lake

Oh my! What a great weekend we had! We wanted to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and my mom and dad offered to watch the boys for a night so we could get away. We headed to Moses Lake on Saturday after Jon got off work and spent the night at my parent's house. The next day we wanted to go visit Grandma Duvall and Grandpa Duvall where grandma is staying and talk a little bit with them. The boys did great and loved giving great grandpa and grandma lots of loves.

Have I mentioned how much we LOVE grandma's garden? Because... we LOVE it!! The boys have so much fun looking to see what is inside the garden and love that grandma lets them help pick everything. Jacob found lots of strawberries and we had loads of fun picking pumpkins!

LOVE my mom!!

I love this picture, it cracks me up. Ian brushed up against something and instantly squirmed! I love it when I can capture things like this with the camera.

Our baby pumpkin stash! By the time we were done it was getting dark. We could spend hours out there!

On Monday, Jon and I headed to Leavenworth to go on a small hike. It was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better weather! We stopped by Icicle River and walked around until we found a little island. We hoped across a little rock bridge and took off our shoes and socks to check out the freezing water! It was FREEZING! My feet were going numb after a matter of seconds. I couldn't believe how beautiful and clear the water was.

After we checked out the water, we found a little trail to hike on. The funny thing was that we came across a path where Jon had gone years ago with his dad and we didn't even know it until we came across these barriers in the picture!

The hike was great! We decided to hike along the river- not on the path. We found so many dead trees to climb on, I felt like a little kid exploring. Jon told me to do a "Mountain woman pose!" So, this is my version, haha! After the hike, we headed to the hotel to check in and then find somewhere to eat dinner. All I wanted to eat on this trip was apple pie with ice cream, it's my favorite! We found a place called Prospector Pies in Wenatchee and it definitely hit the spot! After that we headed to a movie. It was so weird when we got out of the movie and I wasn't feeling rushed to get back home to relieve a babysitter. Thanks mom and dad for watching the boys!! It meant so much to us.

Beautiful view!

I am so blessed to have such a great husband and father to our children that I get to spend eternity with. I love you Jon- thanks for all the years of adventures! I can't wait to see what the next many years have to bring.
