Jacob gave his first primary talk on Easter Sunday! I was so excited and so was Jacob. He has been wanting to talk in the microphone since October- when they had the primary program. The video sound isn't very good, so you'll have to turn up the volume really high. This is what he said, while I held up the pictures he and Ian colored.
At the last supper, Jesus blessed the sacrament.
In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed.
Jesus died for us on the cross.
Jesus was buried in a tomb, but on the third day, Jesus rose again.
After Jesus was resurrected, he visited many people.
Because of Jesus, I have an eternal family.
I will remember Jesus and keep his commandments.
This was so much fun to prepare with Jacob. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Easter and Jesus Christ. Jacob's teachers also helped him make a "tomb" out of a cupcake snowball (tomb), vanilla wafer (the rock in front of the opening of the tomb), chocolate frosting for the dirt, and green shredded coconut for the grass. It was awesome! I love that Jacob loves to go to primary and is so excited whenever we get into singing time.
