March 2nd-3rd we had a Relief Society trip in Oysterville and Long Beach, Washington! It was so much fun! We had a challenge that started last year and the trip was an incentive to do the challenge! The challenge was to read the Book of Mormon every single day and to read the entire New Testament. It was amazing, and I'm so glad I did the challenge, because not only did my testimony strengthen, my revelation and closeness to the Lord grew so strong. I found myself being more directed by the Holy Ghost and feeling so close to my Savior, especially while reading the New Testament.

This is the house we stayed at. It belongs to our Stake President and his family.
The night we got there, we just relaxed and had an awesome dinner! We had Cafe
Rio pork and chicken salads! |
| This is the back of the house, and the beach to the bay is in the back. |
We went for a fun walk the next morning and found this cute
little church in Oysterville. |
Oyster Shells! This pile is not even 1/10 of how big the
other piles along the roads were! |
The Shaffer's had a scooter and offered to let us ride it! So, I
literally jumped on that one! It was so much fun!!! |
Our biker gang! Haha! We rode through Oysterville together, which
is the tiniest town! It was way too funny. |
On our way home we went to Long Beach and had to get a look at
Jake the Alligator Man. Super gross right?! |
This is The Column in Astoria. We climbed the inside to the top! It commemorates
all the groups that migrated to the Western states. |
| Inside the column! 164 steps! |
| Here's our clan! Megan, Delaine, me, and Brittania. Shana is taking the picture. |
| Shana and I hanging out on the top of the super high column! |
We also went to lunch and had to try oysters while we were there....
yeah, I pretty much puked in my napkin, they were incredibly disgusting!!!!! |
I had so much fun on the retreat and got to know so many of the women in the ward. We stayed up late talking and laughing, conquered the lady bug gangs that hung out by my bed, tried oysters, climbed a super huge column, walked on the beach (pictures of those to come soon!), found several whole sand dollars, and had a GREAT time!
