On the 14th and 15th, Jon took Jacob on his first fishing/hiking trip! Right after church on Sunday, Jon and Jacob drove to David and Cindy's house. They spent the night to get ready for their trip the next day. They hiked on the Pacific Crest Trail and went to Lake Susan Jane and Lake Josephine. Jon told me that Jacob was an amazing hiker! Which suprised me! I thought that would be the hardest part for Jacob, but he didn't stop! Everyone had a lot of fun, and even Ian and I had a little "date". We had a little picnic and played all day. I was so proud of Jon and so excited for Jacob to go on this hike. When Jacob came home he kept telling me that he "went fishing with Dabid!" He was so excited that he got to spend some time with the big boys. Jon even took some fantastic pictures, which made me even more happy, since I wasn't able to be there to witness Jacob's excitement.
Jon told me that Jacob kept saying things like, "Be careful daddy!" and "Good job dad!" Jacob kept singing the ABC song and The Itsy Bitsy Spider the entire hike!

Thanks Jon and David for making this little boy's dream a reality! He still talks about how big that fish was!
