Portland Temple

Jon's work schedule is kind of different since we moved back to Washington. He now works from 3 AM to around noon. So, he usually comes home, takes a nap, and then we have dinner and the evening all together. I usually try to take the boys out during this time so that Jon can have some peace and quiet. Today we ended up going to the temple! I have been wanting to take the boys ever since we moved here, considering we have this huge temple only about a half an hour away from our house! I know... shocking right?! The Portland temple is amazingly beautiful outside, I can only imagine the beauty of doing a session would be like. Right when we drove up to the gates, my heart about stopped and the spirit was so strong, I got very emotional! The temple is truly Heaven on Earth. I was so happy to be able to be there on the temple grounds to feel that love from my Heavenly Father and to be able to share that with the boys. Jacob fell in love with the fountain right when we pulled up. We hung out around the fountain for a while and then we toured around the rest of the grounds, checking out every flower, rock, fountain, and bench we could see! Jacob had a great time, and surprisingly was pretty a lot more reverant that I thought he would be! We had a great time today and I can't wait to go back with Jon!

Lovin' the hair! It was so hard to get him to look at the camera, because Jacob kept talking about the fountain and it was a bit distracting.

Absolutely LOVED these doors all around the temple. When we first saw these a security guy came out and I about died, thinking that maybe an apostle would pop out... but no such luck. Next time!

My favorite shot... I do love to see the temple.
