I cannot believe how fast this time has gone, WAY faster than when it was just Jacob and us. Ian is such a sweetheart, and Jacob as well. Jacob has shown to become a protective and sweet older brother. Whenever Ian is crying, Jacob runs over, rubs his head, and says in a sweet voice, "Oh... baby Ian... oh... baby Ian." To help soothe him. Especially when Ian is crying while I am changing his diaper... except first, Jacob will say, "Wow! Big poop!" No matter what kind of diaper it may be at the time.
Ian is officially out of our room. I was sick of us sleeping on the blow up mattress in the living room because Ian grunts... allllll niiiiiight looooong. I've tried different formulas and nothing seems to change. We finally wised up and took the crib down and put up the travel crib in the living room. I can't even describe what a difference it makes sleeping in my own room... on my own bed.
Jacob is talking like crazy now and loves to point out every single letter he sees. He now recognizes all the letters of the alphabet and several numbers and colors. We're trying to get him to sing the alphabet song, but he usually just sits there and listens to us sing it. He does however love to sing the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Jacob is loving play dough, beanie babies, Mr. potato head, trains, and goldfish crackers. Not in that order necessarily. He is an amazing helper with chores and with Ian.
Jon is continually working with FedEx and has become and amazing BBQ master. Last month Jon was called around midnight from the FedEx security office on the East coast because the security alarms went off at the FedEx building here, so Jon had to rush into work. Come to find out it was just the super crazy thunder storm that must have set it off, but he was met with several police officers to help him check out the place. Then, last night, this happened again. No storm though, but more police officers this time.
I'm loving life being a stay at home mom with my boys. I'm learning so much and losing my hair at the same time... some days. Now that Jacob is fully off of the pacifier, he refuses to take naps. Leaving us with lots and lots to keep us busy during the day, anxiously awaiting Jon's arrival back home from work. For Jon's birthday, we filled up the propane tank (I know... I'm a high roller) and have been having lots of fun BBQing lots of yummy dishes and vegetables. Thanks to www.melskitchencafe.com I'm never bored on finding new recipes now that we have internet again! woo hoo!
So, that's us in a nutshell the past couple of months have really flown by. Pictures of the blessing to come! Family shows up on Saturday (Jon and my 6 year anniversary!) and I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures to post on all of that.
