Last weekend (17th-19th) Jon, Jacob and I took a vacation for the weekend and headed over to David and Cindy's house! I was really excited to see their super new house. It is BEAUTIFUL! I fell in love. Especially with the kitchen. We're very happy for them. While we were there, Cindy invited me to a super fun card making activity, then it was off to the beach! It was supposed to be an incredibly beautiful, warm day at the beach, but we got a lot of clouds and it was a tad too cold for Jacob. He LOVED to run in the sand at first, but once he felt how cold the water was he wouldn't let me put him down. He loved running along the beach with Cindy and watching David chase them. Oh, and then we passed by this nasty sturgeon! It was HUGE. I couldn't believe it. But, I had to take a picture. It was too cool to pass up. Sunday, we went to church and had a nice meeting. There was a little boy sitting in front of us and he kept making Jacob laugh. Finally, the mom asked if Jacob could sit with them and he laughed and played with them the rest of the meeting. One of my favorite things about visiting David and Cindy is Cindy's yummy cooking... and boy did we get spoiled this weekend! Here is her delicious margarita pizza (with homemade dough and sauce!). It was to die for. I felt like I was eating like that guy on "What About Bob?" when he was eating and kept saying, "mmmmmmmmm yummmmm" with every single bite. We then headed home and were stuck in traffic for an hour! We even checked before we left, but I guess you never know. Thanks for hosting us David and Cindy! We had so much fun and can't wait to come for the fair!
