Grandpa's 80th Birthday Party

Grandpa Duvall turned 80 yesterday! We had a small get together with family and a cake! Wayne, Valena, and Temprance are visiting this summer and were able to make it. Temprance and Jacob played with their cell phones (because we're such cool parents, we buy our kids cell phones when their one years old...). I couldn't believe how alike they looked! Blue eyed and blond adorable little kidos! Elaina was also able to attend, she is getting married August 22nd in the Spokane temple, woo hoo! After Jacob was done showing off in the middle of the floor for everyone (after 10 minutes, I had to pick him up so we could move to the kitchen for cake), Jon lit the cake I made (my bday present to grandpa) and we sang! Before I married into the Duvall clan, I had NEVER heard the song "Happy Birthday" in parts. I didn't even know it existed. When they sing "Happy Birthday" there is a tenor, a bass, a suprano, and altos. It's beautiful! I always sing super quiet so that I don't ruin the melody.

Grandpa is such an amazing example of hard work, dedication, and love to his family. He works non-stop on the farm and he's 80! Everytime I see him, it makes me feel like a lazy bum. I LOVE this picture of the kids in grandpa's farm boots. They were so heavy, but I was surprised that Jacob stayed put so that was able to take a picture.
