Imagine an amazing pumpkin patch, that has everything a perfect pumpkin patch should have... a gigantic pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, hot chocolate, places for awesome pictures, a corn maze, gigantic pumpkins, a hay ride... and then imagine everyone in Washington state deciding it was the perfect time to go to this little pumpkin patch! Needless to say... we live down the street from a Safeway. Low stress I might add :-) Nonetheless... the boys loved the drive, and even better, loved their pumpkins!

Jacob didn't love the guts from the pumpkins though... He made sure that he kept a good distance from his dad during this time...
Ian however LOVED the guts so much... he had to taste them...

Our first night of Trick-or-Treating we went to the Camas Boo Bash. Downtown, all the little stores gave out candy. I'm so glad we all went! Not only did Jacob and Ian get a taste of the Halloween madness, but Jon and I found several stores we had never seen! Like... a super yummy teriyaki place we can't wait to go to!

| The boys used pillowcases that Grandma sent down for Halloween and LOVED the idea! Jacob was so excited because he said, "Now I can sleep with my candy!" |
Our second night was the ward party and Trunk-or-Treat. For months and months Jacob has been telling EVERYONE that he was going to be The Man In The Yellow Hat for Halloween. So I frantically made his had and tie, and finally found a long sleeve yellow shirt in his size just in time for the Boo Bash... but when he pulled out that Dragon costume Grandma left when she came to visit, all he could do was run around growling... and I couldn't take that away from a child. So, I told him that for the church party, he had to be the man in the yellow hat. He was actually really excited! (phew!!). He even used his hat as a bag for his candy. I had bought Ian's monkey costume last year on clearance for less than $5, so they were a perfect match.

This is my good neighbor friend Sarah! She brought over these fun eyelashes
and glued them to my face. It was fun, we were the Eyelash Sisters! I have no
idea what happened to my face in this picture, but I guess I was a little excited! |

The YW had some fun carnival games all over the church and our favorite to watch
was the donut on a string race. Jacob LOVED it! At first he didn't want to do it, but
once he got a taste of that donut, he was all in. I laughed so hard! |

How fun! I love the costumes! :)
Love the costumes! Ashlyn would NOT do the donut race but wanted a donut SO bad! Luckily one of the young men in our primary class was running the game and snuck ryan a donut for her :-). Looks like you guys had tons of halloween fun!! Don't you love having kids that are old enough to get excited about the holidays?? I am LOVING it! Makes things way more fun.
