I'm officially starting a tradition where birth'days' no longer exist in our family... they are now birth'weekends'. It's official, because it is in writing :) Only because there's not enough time in one day to celebrate, eat, and party all you need to! We started Jacob's birth'weekend' off by going to a little festival held here in Camas every year the second weekend in June. There were huge blow up slides, lots of food, and since it was held at the park, there was the regular park stuff, slides, swings, etc. A friend of mine came with me, Megan and her two children, Charlotte and Jesse. Jacob and Jesse get along SO WELL it is so nice to have them around! Jacob just loves seeing them.
Saturday!

I love that they were holding hands, it was adorable. There were so
many people there that I was glad they were! |
 |
Being the big brother that Jacob is, he had to push the stroller
for Ian a little while. |
 |
Jesse and Jacob at our picnic while at the festival.
Jacob was having one of those
"no way picture days". |
 |
| There was also a petting zoo! They had goats, donkeys, and a camel! |
 |
The boys grooming the camel,
I couldn't believe how
soft this thing was! |
 |
After the festival, which we only stayed a little while at, we
decided to take the kids to a park that was less crowded.
They played for over an hour, running nonstop! Jacob's
face was bright red for about a half hour afterwards. I thought he
had a sunburn, but it turned out he was just overworked! |
 |
Early that day we had put these Popsicle molds (from Cathie on Easter)
into the freezer and it was perfect timing to eat them after the park! |
 |
As I've said before, Ian is in love with his daddy! Now that Ian is taking
more and more steps, the first person he looks for to walk to is
his dad... and the first person he looks for to get a rush daddy!... crazy boys! |
Sunday!
 |
Jon made Jacob breakfast. Bacon is his favorite! Jacob slept in until 9:30!
Of course he was up a couple of times during the night...
so was Ian... so we let him sleep, until Jon made bacon!
We thought for sure he'd wake up and run downstairs
(he has done this every other time we make it) but we had
to come upstairs and give him breakfast in bed. |
 |
Jacob's big gift! We found a Diego bike on craigslist for a great deal
and Jacob isn't totally in love with it yet... it's a little big for him right now,
but soon he'll love it. He loves sitting on it, but pedaling is a bit harder for him.
He also got the awesome tractor next to the bike from Grandma and Grandpa
Duvall, which he has been playing with nonstop! (along with super cute
shorts and a t-shirt, which are in pictures later on...) |
 |
We made cupcakes for nursery, Jacob added
the sprinkles by himself while I frosted. |
 |
| My 3 year old! AH! |
 |
I really wanted a nice family picture with our church clothes on right after church. Our neighbors (The Fedderson's) came over to give Jacob a gift and some cookies and a gift! It was so sweet!
He got a bubble gun, which totally made his day.
So while they were here, they were more than happy to snap a couple pictures for us. |
 |
Our crazy selves... :)
(see those cute shorts? Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Duvall!) |
 |
| The birthday boy and me! |
 |
| I can't believe it has been three years! Jacob is such a blessing and he cracks me up every single day! He has his dad's silly sense of humor that we all love. Our lives sure would be boring without Jacob. We love you Cubs! |
