Sometimes I just need fresh air, with my favorite Ian.

Today, I needed to get out of the house. The rainy season is about to take over and today it was only sprinkling. Ian and I jumped in the car to head to one of our favorite walking paths. We took a different route this time and spent about an hour just finding rocks and throwing them in the river. It was exactly what I needed, and just what Ian needed too. Fresh air, the smell of rain, beautiful trees, and lots of moss. Right when we got to the river, two huge cranes flew right by us and a flock of ducks.
I love being able to enjoy such beauty close by, it brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and breathing in that fresh rained on earth made me forget all my worries and focus on Ian. Just what we needed.

"Mom! Look at all these ROCKS!" He was really excited about that!

A couple times when he would pull his arm back to get a good throw, the rock would end up in his hood, it was hilarious! Another time when that happened, it missed his hood, rolled down his back and he saw it plop in between his legs he said, "Mom! I pooped a rock!" I couldn't stop laughing... maybe I'm around little boys too often!

My favorite reason for dirty hands and dirty jeans. <3 td="">

You are such a cute, good mom. Those boys are so lucky to have you!! I really need to be more like you and spend more quality time with my kids and doing stuff like this. I'm always focusing on the less important stuff. You are awesome!
