4th of JULY!!!

This year... like all years... we spend our 4th in Moses Lake! Jon goes hog wild and buys lots of fireworks, we get together with family, blow some stuff up, and laugh like crazy! Just like all the past years, we had so much fun, with lots of great food. We pulled into town on Saturday and Jon went jet skiing with Jon-Jon (my bro) for a couple of hours. I got to spend some much needed time with my mom and my adorable nephews, Carter and Xander. Sunday, we went to 5th ward, my parent's ward, and participated in a great sacrament meeting. It's always nice to go back to 5th ward. A place where people I love and grew up with! My testimony was really strengthened that day. Hearing testimonies shared about the love from that ward brought back lots of great memories.
After church we hung out at my parent's house for a little while, planning to go to Jake and Cathie's for the evening... until Ian fell off the couch... getting a nice rug burn on his chin, and piercing his tongue! He bled like crazy... I freaked a bit... but Jon and I managed to get him cleaned up. Jon (master of putting Ian to bed) finally got Ian calmed down and Ian was out for several hours. Luckily, my brother and sister in law, Jon and Traci, live close by and brought over some baby Tylenol. After Ian awoke, he was much better, but still sore on his tongue, so he scarfed down lots of yummy yogurt and any other thing we could find that was soft enough for him. Sunday night we watched the crazy neighbors blow up fireworks all over the road... including having an annual Roman Candle duel.
Monday, we headed over to Jake and Cathie's house. I put on their new shirts I made and we had a great morning/afternoon just relaxing and talking! Jon helped Jake, Tanner, and Jace plant some trees, Jacob and I ran around the yard, and Ian took a great nap. Afterwards the boys ate some cupcakes Cathie had made... even 4th of July festive ones!
Later on we headed over to Jon and Traci's for a BBQ (pictures to come, I have them on my mom's camera) and then to the Stake Center for the city fireworks. The boys LOVED fireworks this year! Ian kept cooing and Jacob kept calling off all the colors. Afterwards we headed back to Jake and Cathie's for our own fireworks, including sparklers! Great time had by all!!

Temprance and Jacob played lots of pretend games while we were shooting off fireworks, it was adorable! Especially when
Temprance wanted to play "Grandma and Grandpa" as they rocked on the rocking chairs on the porch! Haha!
