Well, here's our newest edition! Jacob Andrew Duvall was born on June 12th at 5:47 PM. He's so much fun and such a good baby. He's beginning to get used to all of grandma's picture taking. He loves his boppy pillow and sleep. Jon can't wait for him to get a little older so he can rough house with him a little bit.
We love our little cowboy!\
Here's Jacob's Story:
The night before Jacob came I was feeling very swollen in my legs and feet. During almost the entire third trimester, my feet were gigantic! So, I decided to go for a walk, I took my phone figuring that someone in the Duvall family would come pick me up if I started having contractions. I got home and the contractions didn't start until about 3 in the morning, I went to the bathroom, saw blood, woke Jon up and we rushed to the hospital. My parents met us there and I was taken into a delivery room. We found out I was dilated to a 4! They put me on some petosin (sp?) to speed up the process since the dilation wasn't going anywhere and that's about when I got my epidural. When it came time for me to push, I pushed and pushed for about a half an hour when Jacob's heart rate dropped significantly and Dr. Lyons thought it would be better if we headed into surgery. I was so scared, I started crying and panicking. My mom was so scared too, but I knew the doctor was great with surgery. Jon was able to be in the surgery room with me. I had so many meds in me that I kept throwing up while they were getting Jacob out. My body was rocking all over the table while they tried to yank Jacob out of my pelvis. Once they brought Jacob to me I bawled and bawled... all this waiting and we finally were able to meet our baby boy. He was 8 lbs and 19.5 inches long and came at 5:47 PM. I have never felt such emotion and love for anything in my life. I knew this little baby came straight from heaven. He was so perfect. After they took Jacob, I was rolled into another recovery room where they were trying to get the meds under control, I was shaking like crazy and freezing cold. After about an hour my body stopped shaking and I was able to gain some control of my muscles. They rolled me into the room where I would spend the next several days healing and loving on my new little one!

Just the cutest little Duvall in Moses Lake, in my humble opinion!! I loved having you all visit last weekend. Jake is SUCH a good baby! David kept commenting after you left "it's going to be easy being parents if our babies are all like that!"
